More on Ambiance for Openbox
I’ve updated this theme a bit more. I even had a play with lxde (I was not amazingly impressed, lxpanel still disappoints, especially the font/icon sizing madness.) with the matching themes etc.seeing how it looked with a ‘complete’ desktop.

Updated Openbox Ambiance and Radiance type themes for Ubuntu 10.10
Making Openbox themes to match other themes is sometimes sort of fun, sometimes futile, but you do it anyway, think of the children. Some time ago I tried (for the greater good!) to make a pair of themes to go with Ubuntu’s Ambiance and Radiance, I’m not a big fan of these themes, personally, I find the lack of obvious focused window sort of irritating. The results were ‘OK’ but by no means stunning, so of course with such wild success last time I decided to follow suit with the newer ‘Maverick’ updates to said themes. They have the same mixed success. They both ‘fit’ and do not look wildly out of place, but they also have glaring omissions (red close button, roundness, opacity etc)

Zenity get_iplayer
Ages ago for reasons best forgotten I made a tiny zenity script that will basically list BBC shows and let you click to download them, it ain’t fancy, but I seem to still use it, and I’ve never bothered to work on it anymore:

To conclude my flirtation with ubuntu themes for openbox here is Ambiance:
I’m not really that in love with either of the themes, and i’m not sure how well they have really work within the openbox theme system, but it’s nice to have stuff that matches, right?
